Funeral services with no hidden costs

Our funerals are personally planned and professionally delivered by a family-owned company that has been looking after the North Shields community for five generations.

Our customers can be wholly confident that Turnbulls will provide the highest standard of funeral arrangements for your loved one. Yet, we still offer our services at highly competitive prices.

The cost of our funeral is divided into two parts:

  • Fees due to the funeral directors for the services they provide.
  • Fees due to third parties, called disbursements, which the funeral directors pay on your behalf.


Included in Turnbulls funeral costs are:

  • Professional services and administration
  • Removal to our private chapel of rest
  • All necessary preparation and dressing in our private chapel of rest
  • Veneered coffin complete with fixtures and gown
  • Jaguar hearse (or similar) and four coffin bearers.


Additional costs:

The cost of disbursements is additional. Disbursement costs include payments to a third party that are not quantifiable until booked, such as flowers, newspaper notices, service sheets for the ceremony, book of condolences, cremation/burial costs, doctor’s certificates, church and minister fees and organist.
